Fall weather is upon us in Boston, and I figured it was about time to break out the knits that I have been lusting after all summer. There’s something so unceremoniously chic about New England autumn style, that makes even the least preppiest of fashionistas want to bust out some tweed and tartan print. With that in mind, I snagged an old collegiate favorite out of my closet, my J. Crew tweed skirt, for a an updated spin on a back to school outfit. Shooting in Harvard Square seemed equally as appropriate, and I fit right in with all the stylish university newcomers floating from coffee shops to class.
I ‘edged-up’ the outfit with a pair of rag & bone mules and black chevron nails to keep the look from going too Cher a la Clueless. There’s nothing quite like a classic Chloe carryall bag to balance out the palette with cool shades of light purple and gray, and it was a great finishing touch to this (almost) too-cool-for-school outfit.
