Last week I managed to get out and enjoy the sun in Harvard Square. With the weather staying on the warmer side, I’ve been getting the best use out of my skirts so far this Fall. In an effort to debunk the myth that you can’t wear black and navy together, I pulled together some of my favorite pieces to show that the two actually work really well together. The key is to always have another color (or two) tying the look together. In my case, they were gray and white.
I decided to wear one of my favorite t-shirts that I actually picked up at a men’s shop in NYC. I personally love going in to men’s stores and seeing what looks I can incorporate into my wardrobe. Like it or not, sometimes the menswear is just plain cooler, and for someone who has a 5’11 frame, I find that some of the basic pieces actually fit me better as well.
Here’s hoping that the weather holds out a little longer up here in Boston and Cambridge before I hit the road again! Where do you think I’ll be heading next?

What a great bag! Love the texture, and it pairs perfectly with that skirt!
