If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I love heading to The Big E every year. The combination of fair food, colorful rides, and the ultimate in people watching makes for the perfect prelude to Fall festivities. The team at The Big E was kind enough to invite me to come and try all the tasty eats again this year, and boy did I chow down. From their famous cream puffs, to a BBQ split (think ribs, mashed potatoes, pulled pork, and more!), a deep fried pineapple upside-down cake, a pretzel wrapped brat — I’m getting full just thinking about it!
The other thing I love about going to The Big E is all the cool photos you can create. A ferris wheel or food truck with all the sparkly lights is the perfect background, and just a fun excuse to get creative. You know your girl packed multiple outfits to shoot while she was there ;). While I realize this is incredibly extra, I had so much fun with it, and who cares what other people think?!
When you’re ready to put your camera down, a ride on the Matterhorn is mandatory, and sure to have you cracking up the whole ride. My friend and I popped on to a couple of other rides, rounding out a perfect day! Pro tip: head to the fair mid-week if you can; there are no lines for rides or food, and it is the best way to check out this massive fair all in one day.
